A choice before measurement
Privacy & analytics.
This site asks permission before Google Analytics is allowed to measure a visit.
The short version
No analytics before consent.
DavidJDeJonge.com uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which photographs, stories, public records, and collections visitors find useful. Google Analytics is not loaded unless a visitor selects Allow analytics.
What may be measured
After permission is given, the site may measure information such as:
- pages viewed, time and engagement on those pages;
- scrolls, outbound-link clicks, embedded-video interactions, and site navigation;
- the general source of a visit, such as a search engine or referring website; and
- general device, browser, and geographic information supplied through Google Analytics.
This website does not use Google Analytics for advertising personalization. Advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization permissions remain disabled.
Your choice
Your analytics choice is stored in your browser so the site can remember it. Selecting Do not allow prevents the Google Analytics library from loading. You may reopen the choice at any time using the button below or the Privacy & analytics choices link in the footer.
Third-party material
Some pages link to outside news organizations, government records, streaming platforms, and other third-party sites. Their privacy practices apply after you leave this website. Embedded YouTube videos use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain; interacting with an embedded video may still connect your browser to YouTube.
Google and contact
Google describes its practices in the Google Privacy Policy and its Analytics data safeguards. Questions about this website’s privacy practices may be sent through the contact page.
